Big commersial songs/producers using factory presets?

Even if you create an awesome new sound and use it on a successful track, people are going to copy it. Then it's going to become a preset. There are million of examples : "popular sounds for Sylenth, for Spire, for whocareswhatthissynthiscalledlike...". So your non-preset will become a preset.
You made it first ? Great ! You are a sound maker. People will remember you for sure.

That is very different in my view because of the inverted order of things.


Be that as it may, I think there might also be a difference between factory presets and third-party sound banks. I don't think I would ever use a factory preset. Even if I liked one a lot, I would still modify it so as to make it mine.

Sure, you're right, I do so too.
My point is : who cares in the end ? Preset, modified preset, not a preset, gonna-be preset...
People listen to songs, not presets or not-presets...

So true. No judgment or anything, just curious about this. Maybe more like this way: if big commercial tracks/producers use ready made presets then ME hobbyist don’t need to feel “shame” if don’t make all my own sounds. You know what I mean?

Sometimes it is hard to be creative. You (me) start to think I am not creative enough if I don’t make EVERYTHING myself from a empty plate…

…but when I hear (or read info) that big names who have studios and expensive equipments on their disposal (and they can even collaborate with other big name producers) use presets = I can see that hey if those “professionals” use presets then it’s not a shame if I use presets when making music with my cheap laptop alone in my home
