It seems the iRig UA is a better option because it also comes with 25 gear credits and some T Racks software in addition to Amplitube Metal.

Does anyone know a reason to go with the HD-A over the UA?

The promo page doesn't make sense because it says the HD-A costs $79 and supports 96kHz but then on the product page it's $99 and it says nothing about 96kHz--it says it tops out at 48kHz.

I really had alot of fun messing with the SLO, I liked the Powerball and the E650 as well. Soloing / cranking the room mics just to play and audition cabs was really fun, I really liked how those felt.

I'm thinkin about building a live Amplitube rig for the band, I have some neat ideas will be fun, might need an Irig :)

If anyones using amplitube 4 live in a band setting fill me in, tell me how its working out, I'd love to hear.

Thanks again for the feedback people sent about that track I posted, I love feedback, thumbsup.

iRig UA does not support 96kHz, though, if that is an important difference to you.

The promo news page has been fixed - HD-A does not support 96kHz but it should be $/€79.99 so both of those details have been corrected.

Thanks, Peter. I still don't quite understand the differences between the UA and the HD-A, however, other than the headphone jack and the support for different Android versions. Does the HD-A work with the AmpliTube UA Android app? Or does it only work with the AmpliTube for Samsung Pro Audio app, which is only for a few devices?

Thanks,
Nathan

iRig HD-A does not work with AmpliTube UA. iRig UA and AmpliTube UA work together, and that is the combination you'd want to use on Android devices that do not support Samsung Pro Audio.

Gotcha. Thanks!

It's a great promo. I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it.

Great promo indeed :tu:

I'm setting up a new soundcloud but I figure since I still have it I'd go ahead and upload this to my old Tindeck account real quick. Still have more to do to set up the soundcloud one. This is a demo for the AT:Mesa MkIV and MkIII models (mk IV rhythm, MkIII lead).

And here's the drum track for it if anyone wants a free drum jam track. Toontrack makes some easy to use drum software, very happy with the value prospect of EZdrummer 2 so far. Need more sound fonts though. Err, kits.

Used a few T-Racks singles from the T-Racks 3 era and a couple ReaPlugs in tracking (I really like Reaper's highpass and lowpass filter, quick and effective). Here are the patches if anyone wants to see where I started.

And I had JUST purchased the Ampeg SVX Power Duo.

My only problem with this promotion is that it devalues IK plugins (like me now trying to sell the Duo so I can get in on this promo.

Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Thanks for the nice comments on the hardware. We also had a great price reduction on iRig HD (and iRig PRO) along with a 96kHz update that makes iRig HD a great deal (~$50 cheaper) compared to similar mobile interfaces that support 96k (which iRig PRO also supports and these are two of my favorite products we make - especially since iRig HD is really pocket-sized).
No 96kHz love for iRig Pro Duo, Peter? Or is it in the works and can we get it with a firmware upgrade if we buy the interface now? On the other hand, it seems the Android-ready interfaces don't get bumped to 96kHz so maybe the Pro Duo won't either?

TheCityBeef awesome track. What did you use for the drums?

Hi mr Bill thanks man, Preciate it. I'm not sure what was used, we were in a hurry, We have a lot of songs we are working on for the band so we did it pretty quickly. I'm not sure were my friend got them from. I havnt looked or asked him because were working on lots of things. It was only a 4 track mix I remember, Drums, bass, 2 guitars.

Its pretty raw and we didnt mix or master / EQ the guitar or anything, so I think its pretty truthfull of how amplitube sounded. We got a good guitar sound with amplitube and stuck with that so I think its "honest" in that sense. what you hear is how it sounded during tracking pretty much.

Not at this time, and I don't know of any specific plans yet. I will relay the question/suggestion though.

Thanks. That's what's holding me back from ordering, as I need those 96kHz :(

Planning on getting an Irig HD or something similar to work on a live rig soon, Will report back if all works out. Impressed with amplitube 4 so gonna try to use it in a live setting.

In the meantime, heres another example of the SLO with no bass, Cracked the room mics in the mix just a bit.
