My thoughts on the video...
Things I like:
Overhauled cab sim, with the ability to change speakers
New Marshall amps
Stomps in the rack and vice versa
Mixer channels for the mics and DI signal
Things I don't like:
Bloated (8-Track DAW mode, looper)
Stomps in the rack and vice versa (awful UI choices in how it's implemented, why not just make the stomps look like rack effects and vice versa)
No T-Racks effects integration? Why keep these shell apps separate?
Only new Marshall amps? Why no Fenders or Vox or updated bass amps?
Questions:
Price? Release date?
Can the mics be angled for an off-axis response?
Can mics be placed behind the cabs?
Can the different mixer channels for the mics, and direct signals be routed to different outputs (I realize this might involve using this as an instrument versus a stock efect)?
If the upgrade price is reasonable, I'll upgrade solely for the enhanced cab sims.

Any 3rd party VST FX in the FX loop slot between Pre and Power?
Brit8000 = Marshall JCM800
Brit9000 = Marshall JCM900
Brit Silver = ?
Brit Red Pig = ?
Brit Valve Pre ?
It looks like there is a standardized GUI format for all AMPS so parameters are no longer jumping from place to place.

The Death Magnetic butt-rock song was total boner poison, but the rest of it seems okay. I'm guessing it's going to be quite expensive, with some absurdly high list price and then dramatic sales to trick you into thinking you're getting a "great deal."
Best of luck, though.

Brit Red Pig = Marshall JMP 50?
Brit Valve Pre = Marshall JMP-1
I wonder how different (if any) the 8000 will sound from the AT Slash JCM 800 and the Silver Jubilee will sound from the AFD100 in AT Slash (the AFD amp was a hot rodded Silver Jubilee from what I understand).

Brit Silver is likely a Silver Jubilee, probably a 2500 since the Slash is based on a 2555. Brit Valve Pre is surely a JMP-1. Red Pig is a head scratcher. There was a 200 watt amp they made before the Marshall Major that was nicknamed the pig, but it only had bass and treble controls, and the one in this video has mid and presence, too.

I think I wept a little… Tears of joy or tears of sorrow, I cannot say. This has been a long time coming. If they have revamped all of their gear to be even 75% as amazing sounding as these new Mesa amps, then we are in for a real treat
Let's see what happens next...

I used to be the MOST excited person in the world when new stuff came out. Then I realized 90% of it is not really to my liking.blueman wrote:I think I wept a little… Tears of joy or tears of sorrow, I cannot say. This has been a long time coming. Still, I look forward to it. My copy of 3 is NFR though so not sure I get an upgrade path.
I'll look forward to Dimi's review
