Hi Urs,
Diva is beautiful - great job! My wife may not see me for days now...
Playing with it through Valhalla Room... In heaven!
Thanks Urs!

Hi Urs,Urs wrote:The Little Phatty sounds slightly different. We have one too, it won't be all the same. Especially the resonance is less "attached" to the waveform.Ingonator wrote:I just reprogrammed one of my own Moog Slim Phatty presets and did a short 1:1 comparison. Diva sounds really damn close to the real thing!!!
Only when i use a bigger amount of filter overload the Slim Phatty sounds much fatter. At a filter overdrive of around 20-25%there is almost no difference with Diva. The low end of Diva is great too opposing to most other softsynths.
I'll try to post a demo with a 1:1 comparison here soon. I'll try to reprogram a few other of my Slim Phatty presets.
yes the Resonance behaviour is slightly different.
With the full filter overdrive the Phatty still sounds fatter than Diva but with a comparable overdrive Diva should be able to sound the same. I have tried an external Drive FX like Schwa Oligarc Drive and in this case they sound very similar (= fat).
Anyway Diva in comparison to any other Moog emulation is really great. Of course Diva models more a Minimoog than a Little Phatty so some differences to the Phatty are normal i guess.

Diva + Valhalla Shimmer (Not that the plate reverb in Diva is not already good)
Shimmering Space Diva (using Bronto's preset)
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6185854/kvr%20s ... 20Diva.mp3
Runs mono and duo pretty well playing live without much crackling spikes on a 6 year old core 2 duo pentium 4. It was more than I was expecting.

Awesome
I added it to the big list on page 52!
By the way: I just reuploaded my presets since the new DIVA version broke some things: http://www.bronto-scorpio-music.com/Dow ... resets.zip

Urs you should probably add "First public beta" or something to the thread title. The U-He forum is already exploding but it can't hurt

At some point, probably. But initially she's not gonna have any inputs (as long as she's under age)ariston wrote:BTW, did Urs ever mention if there will be an FX version of Diva? I want those filters for... everything!
