So many thanks and congratulations to you Urs, for the gorgeous work and endeavour. I am eagerly looking forward to getting my hands on Zebralette 3, Zebra 3 and even the new Filterscape (nostalgic souvenir of the time when I reviewed FS and Z2 for a french computer music magazine...). But in 2023 Zebra 2 is still on top of my VIs ; after so many years running from its first version, that's saying something. I am still discovering some new sounds and possibilities, and it allows me to produce some incredible tracks in so many genres. What an achievement for a developer ! May the force stay with you

I don't know if this has been answered before, but will Zebra 3 be fully modular or just semi-modular in that it'll have a limited set of modules? Also, I heard there will be some kind of additive synthesis or resynthesis.

I kinda second this. I was blown away by Zebra 10 years ago. I finally got my hands on one due to an ingenious pricing structure by UHe. Taking care of loyalty and not killing a fantastic product. Cheers.

Urs confirmed earlier on to a similar question that I asked in that Zebra 3 will at least have the same general layout as the current Zebra (which is a great thing), so I expect it to be semi-modular stillKorg Supporter wrote: Tue Feb 07, 2023 7:54 pm I don't know if this has been answered before, but will Zebra 3 be fully modular or just semi-modular in that it'll have a limited set of modules? The overall structure (wireless semi-modular) of Zebra2 is remaining. What's changing is pretty much everything else: combining all the separate editors into one, all the technology of the past ten years rolled into a new synth -- new analog filters, comb filters, modules, enhanced wavetable capabilities, mod matrix, etc.
It's such an overhaul that - in conjunction with the main unification of all the editors - there can't simply be an upgrade to Zebra2. It's no mere face-lift, but a total ground-up rework of the Zebra concept. But the wireless semi-modular theme will remain which is sure to be welcome since it's always been a fast way to synthesis once you get practice with it

Zebra’s layout is definitely my favorite part of the synth, I’ve been using it for so long that it’s really the only synth that just makes “sense” to me, even though most would say it’s technically a more complex synth compared to a lot of others on the market. I’m glad it’s layout is staying, that’s where it’s strength liesShiek927 wrote: Sat Feb 11, 2023 3:04 am The overall structure (wireless semi-modular) of Zebra2 is remaining. Another Question: Will there also be a Zebra 3 equivalent of Zebrify (as FX plugin)? That would be really awesome. I can imagine that this would be especially nice with the new editor (and probably effects).
And agree with TENETfanboy: The semi-modular layout in Zebra 2 is really nice. Please keep this (or expand on it)

I asked in this thread about a new Zebrify and I can’t remember exactly what Urs response was but I do remember it being an optimistic one, I think it’ll happenFannon wrote: Sun Feb 12, 2023 12:14 pm Another Question: Will there also be a Zebra 3 equivalent of Zebrify (as FX plugin)? I stumbled upon this wonderful little mini-doc about splines and I couldn't help but think of Urs' spline editor. Lots of beautiful animations and elegant presentations on display here. Worth watching just to admire the sheer genius of it all.

I love the sort of “three-lane” structure that Zebra has and to me that’s the most important thing that needs to stay. Routing lanes in the center, generators on the left, modulators on the left, it’s simple and I’d say it’s already perfect and I don’t see any reason to change it, and I hope Urs and the team feel the same way!!Fannon wrote: Sun Feb 12, 2023 12:14 pm And agree with TENETfanboy: The semi-modular layout in Zebra 2 is really nice.
