It's probably my graphic driver, but sometimes when I move something over the GUI it distorts and sometimes it looks like this :
I have not found the cause of this so far.
close > open plugin window fix this GUI issue?
Yes it does fix the issue, but that's not the issue

The way I get this GUI (2 posts back) is when I open 2 instances of the plug in on screen at the same time, place one in front of the other, then activate the one that is behind.
When I move another plug in repeatedly over it... this happens :
HY-Mono_crDistort.png
Closing it and opening again redraws it the way it should be.

HY-Reso and HY-TP don't have this "problem".

BTW it still sounds great, no mater the GUI :hyper:

EDIT : Gui problems are only in Flstudio11 32bit, 32bit version of HY-MONO, REAPER works fine :)
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

HY-Mono is good, but even version 1.02 do not load presets in Reaper 5.22 and crashes every time on "Random pick"

Post

Can not confirm. Works for me (Reaper 5.22, Windows 7).

I have that graphics issue too but to a much lesser extent on HY-MONO 32 bit with Reaper... :)

A minor issue though, sound great and otherwise works fine.

I have changed the way rendering plugin window.
I guess that is the cause.
I will check those things.

Please try this way.

1, delete "HY-Mono.settings" file
2, put "HYMONO" folder to same directory to HY-Mono.dll
3, launch your DAW, check whether HY-Mono reads preset file correctly or not.

If not preset files loaded, random pick brings memory problem.
I will change this behavior next update.

I didn't have a "HY-Mono.settings" file, so I decide it is a problem with permissions, so I run Reaper as admin and everything is ok now -- settings file was created.

I don't like mono VST plugins, but this one sounds really good with low CPU usage. Looking forward for 2Osc poly plugin.

Ok, so you have the usual windows permissions problem (VST folder not writable by default).

Thank you for this information.
So if VST folder is not writable, there is no way to create any files?

Post

Only when running as admin.
That's the reason why many VSTs are putting data files to the users data folders e.g. %APPDATA%.

Ah, I see.
I will change this behavior.

Nooooo
Please keep an option for a portable install ("HYMONO" folder in the same directory as the HY-Mono.dll). Thanks! :D

Optimal would be to look in %appdata% and the vst dir - choices are good, let people chose the location that suits them best

if you want to go the whole hog look in c:\programdata as well

Post

I will only change location of settings file.
So you will still be able to select preset folder location.

Post

updated to v1.03

Now settings file will be created in ProgramData folder.
So please set preset location again.
I hope no more preset loading issues.

v1.04
change location of settings file
fixed automation issue
fixed value display issue
