Impressed by the freebie effects that HY has put out over the last couple of months
Looks to be based in Japan, but no info about the dev on the site I can find stated

He is a prolific max4live developer.
I particularly like his sequencers.
I asked if he was going to port any to VST and his reply was that he had just started to learn DSP programming.

tadashi is great. VERY creative and very attentive developer. I've conferred with him several times on ideas and he is quick to implement them (for M4L stuff...) HIGHLY recommended.

HY-MBDrive is out now...on a Mac atm but I'm sure I'll like what I hear! Yes Tadashi is a cool guy. I emailed him a simple thanks and he was quick to respond. His programming skills are really good at this point, considering he's fairly new to it. Those M4L devices look like butter...

I'd like to chime in and say thank you for the MBDrive!
To be honest: The line-up before that did not catch my interest that much, but a free Multiband Drive I was after for quite a while now, and after the first tests I did today, it's something that is suitable for finalizing my mixes with (using it to add some upper frequency sparkle).

Great Plugin.
Until now I don't know any multiband-drive for free. Now this one
will join my mastering chain if it holds what it looks like. I am
eager to test it ...
Thanks to AY Akken!

yes, i sent him a "thank you" e-mail too, i think it's well worth it.Jonathan Shepherd wrote:Yes Tadashi is a cool guy. I emailed him a simple thanks and he was quick to respond. The FX are simple, but well designed : the GUI is good, and the featureset is not bloated but not basic either (the filter for instance features a State Variable filter, which is not so common, as well as a wovel filter and a comb filter. And the phaser features an envelope modulator).
+1 !TCC wrote:I like the look of the M4L stuff, especially the slicer/ loopers ...

This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here?

And now HY-TP, a tremolo-panner effect.

With a nice slick resizable interface now too! Not that I had any problems with the prior look. This guy's on a roll. His effects are quite solid with cool little differences throughout. I'm excited to see what comes down the road later-
