aciddose, maybe you should finish the mac version before this contest ends instead of writing 20 page essees of microscopicly small details about everything and anything :) it's been "coming soon" for ten years, now would be a great time, you'd finish 10 books faster too, maybe writing is your thing? Just kidding, but would be really nice to enter the comp! Had Xhip Beta 6 (i think) a looooooong time ago and it was great already...

No.

It is somewhat arrogant for people who have very limited knowledge of the project to suggest a course for the project to take. It makes more sense to phrase what you've said perhaps: "I thought I heard that an OSX port might be provided, would this be possible before the end of the OSC?"

My answer would be almost the same though: No, it wouldn't be possible and no, an OSX port isn't planned any time soon. It is in fact going to happen after all other tasks are complete.

I did type a longer post although it doesn't make sense to pollute this thread with discussion of the project. Email me if you'd like to talk about it.

I also disagree almost entirely about the amount of time I've invested in the forum. It has been maybe an hour tops so far in this thread and a few others over the past week while I've invested about sixty hours toward other "real" work, including about ten hours toward the production of a "Xhip user manual". Some of the questions in this thread inspired content for the manual and the biggest issue I have in writing it is not knowing well enough how to balance between "too much info" and leaving some questions unanswered. You can get the manual (still a work-in-progress like the alpha versions) from the synth page if interested and you may change your mind about where my time seems best invested.

Not upsetting at all, I understand (barely, I can't speak Finnish, English is difficult already) the difficulty with language of course!

My message was in a neutral tone.

Hi everyone, I was invited to this group from a friend. I am looking forward to interacting with you guys and gals. This will be my first attempt at this competition, but it looks fun and right up my alley.

Hello!

I've participated in the OSC as independent participant.
So it's a question: if I want to create a team project, will I be permitted to make an own project?

Well, the rules say :
OSC RULES wrote: * Collaborations are allowed.

* The collaborators do not need to be KVR members.
Max 1 submission per entrant (person or team)

Yes, thanks. I know the rules, but I need an official response.

That seems clear enough. It says you can't both participate as a team and an individual.

This is simple: as an individual you would have entered twice.
