There's a randomizer? Hmm...
Maybe I'm wrong about this?
That was supposed to be my up-to-no-good face. Lol. There's no happy devil emoticon...
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

just thought I'd given the wrong answer, nothing wrong in your post,No problem

So the settings for my V6 setup cannot be used with V7? i.e. all my templates and color scheme etc. ??? I tried adding them to user and no luck...

I understand this ability, but my question was about other (i.e. fully) random system. In vst who has 100 parameters you just get tired to link even half of them. Because of this i almost never use ableton randomizer, in my opinion it just unusable solution.
Well, if the same rand system in new Mux, then sad.
I would purchase mux if there would normal random (just, honestly to say sometimes ago it was my request to mux), because I did not find yet normal replacement for EnergyXT randomizer (in new EXT the random system was removed).
Damn.

And one more thing - The very meaning of chance not only in a random value, but also in a random selection of parameter. Without this, it is just not interesting.

Ok I see, in that case, no thats not currently possible

about the missing latch mode in arp, there is the js script live quantize. this work good, the new chord can press before next bar and old notes are hold upto next bar and new notes are play on next bar.

i take back what i said earlier. mulab has come a long way since i left. amazing progress! this is a simply amazing tool.

some tweaks maybe? i cant think of many. so far i was noticing that the taskbar gets obscured by the windows that are opened. might be best if windows went behind the task bar...

thats all i really notice so far. everything else has been a revelation! serious upgrades all around. i am a fanboy. i dont care what they say

I agree. Windows seem to be always in the foreground. Also when a bigger VST windows is hiding parts of a rack in the mixer, even clicking the rack does not bring it to the fore. So one has to move the window around.

Maybe it would make sense to add a slim vertical bar (maybe half the width of the + bar on the right side of the mixer) at the very left side for both the task bar and the mixer, and when clicking that bar, the task bar or mixer come to the fore.

To avoid this kind of problem I use the floating windows bar,you can try this solution.

I've been demoing the new version for last 3 days (or better - last 3 nights :-) ) and I have to say that I am totally impressed! This is a genius piece of software, seriously. Definitely on my next purchase list, when budget permits. Currently using Orion for sketching and composing and REAPER for recording, but since Orion is not being updated anymore I am looking for another solution - and seems that MuLab will be the winner.

With KVR displayed at 200% in my browser, I can actually read those tiny preferences fonts in your screenshot :) I wish the real preferences window were a normal preferences window, like in Firefox or Chrome. What's the point in making it so small when it is closed 99.9% of the time, anyway?
It's torture for the human eye, which hasn't changed since the stone age, i.e. it's not intended for staring at such small things and many people have a problem with it.

That's what I have done. I still prefer Orion's piano roll, (but after 14 years of using it what else would you expect  ).

this only shows it by default. the window that is opened now obscures the task bar button making the taskbar useless in that instance.

so far cant find much else to complain about. wow the possibilities with mux have hit the roof and its on fire! the roof that is.

Ok,I see, understand what you mean, what I've suggested in fact does not solve this.
Regarding Mux I agree, endless possibilities and a lot of fun:)
