Acid should do this, but it's just unbelievably buggy and resets every midi track's name to "new track" and every channel number (but the first) to 1 when saving. So, forget it.
Live can't save several midi tracks (clips) to one SMF -- or can it?
And Project 5 V2 can't save midi patterns as standard midi files. (If it could layer several midi tracks, I don't know -- anybody?)
So, what I need is an application, be it standalone or plugin that can do what I need midi-wise and trigger vstis (because I need to hear what I wrote before I save it
Or somebody to tell me how I can achieve what I want with Project 5 V2 or Live 5.
Thanks a lot,
