Cronox 3

Sometimes this forums seems like a just a big wishlist of supported synths. I hope outsiders reading don't get the impression that Receptor VST support is lacking. I am using it as a Synth/Rompler/Drum Module/Custom Effects Module in my studio every day. It really is nice to have such a flexible device in my rack.

But... to add to the supported synth questions - I tried to install the demo of Cronox 3. It installed and the UI worked, but no sound can be triggered. Anyone know if this one is coming to Receptor?

Thanks!

I'm ready to do whatever is required, just need some input from Muse maybe, or even better a Receptor NFR for testing ;-)

Thanks for your reply Peter. I love your products and thanks for supporting Receptor - for me it really adds to the value of your plugins.

Could it be the fact that Cronox3 is using 6 outputs in a way that the Receptor mixer doesn't like? Is there anyway to force the synth to just work in stereo?

P.S. I am buying Cronox3 this week for use on my computers. I really like the way it can mangle samples.

We thought about it but found very little demand, it seems a "would be nice" feature, as basically when the host tells CronoX that it can only Stereo CronoX should accept this, but I'm starting to guess about Receptors/CronoX3 interaction now.

As of version 1.3 Receptor supports up to 32 channels (16 stereo channels). So if CronoX has 6 outputs, it should not be a problem.

suboctave, I hope you have receptor version 1.3. In the plug-in selector dialog there is a check box at the bottom called "Assignable Plugin Outputs" Please, check the check box, then select CronoX again. A menu should appear, please choose the last choice: "All outputs."

Now you should have all 6 outputs of CronoX spread over three Receptor channels. Do you get output on the other channels?

Does Receptor also allow mixed Stereo/Mono channges ? When it - as a host - not supports native 5.1 we sent out the 5.1 info bein split on Stereo-Mono-Mono-Stereo (LR, Center, LFE and Surround-LR)

Receptor supports mono channels by doubling the channel. So it should appear on 4 Receptor channels with the Center and LFE as stereo with the same signal on both channels. We'll try the demo.
