When you write dance tracks the structure of the track evolves around parts with lengths which are a power of 2: 16 measures intro, break of 4 measures, 32 etc etc
I find it mildly annoying that the time line showes figures that are 1 plus a multiple of 10. As a work around I have the top track devoted to the structure of the track with clips of 8 bars long and the time line set to seconds.

just hit "T" it will scroll through the different time displays
