Spike price reduction?

just noticed the Spike package on a few big UK dealers sites for around half what it was, ~£179.

I realise it probably doesn't have the full plugin varsion of T2 but it still looks kind of bizarre; T2 for £129 or Spike with T2 for £179...

Products don't normally get cut this much unless they're about to be discontinued...?

I don't know if the spikes out there even come with T2 yet do they? I think you can just upgrade to T2 online.

And you don't get the plugins that come with the boxed version, so the price differential isn't really so strange.

Usually, although not always. The audiophile card can be had for a fraction of its original street price, and whilst it is certainly approaching EOL, that's about the longest swan-song in history.

Quite possibly dealers are just clearing room for newer T2-bundled Spike distributions.
