Very annoying Absynth 3 rendering problem

I've been trying to render a track I made using absynth 3.02 but no matter what I do it keeps having silent gaps in the rendered audio. This happens if I render to track, render to a seperate file or even when I use 1:1 speed. And I've tried upping my ASIO latency to max as well but makes no difference. Even a freeze had the same gaps. The really annoying thing is it's not even a CPU heavy track - it's only one track!! - the problem seems to be in the areas where automation is heaviest so it may be connected with that.
My PC is pretty high spec so this shouldn't be happening - P4 3.6, 2GIG DDR2 RAM, Creamware Scope soundcard (2 of them), 3 SATA 200 HD's, fast graphics card.
In the end I had to render using the workaround of recording directly into Scope's own recording utility - VDAT.

Absynth is a Native Instrument's VST, yeah?
I had these exact same problems with Kontakt in T2 (and other hosts). Basically, live playing was absolutely fine, but the rendered output would be SOUND,(SILENCE for a couple of seconds), SOUND, SILENCE, SOUND etc.
In the end, I had to use TapeIt2 to record the live output. There are a few posts about this problem on NI's forum, but as usual, they just ignore it. I've heard this reported in Cubase SX, Sonar, and also Live, I think.

It's not rendering SOUND though (if by that you mean just noise) - it is rendering the track 90% of the time but leaving out big gaps. You might be right about the NI connection though - I had problems with freezing with Reaktor 4/T1 but that was fixed. It's very annoying because it's for a project I'm working on with a time factor

Sorry, by SOUND I mean the actual song itself, or at least, any of the tracks that contain Kontakt, _not_ noise or distortion.
I tried everything, freezing individual tracks, rendering at 1x, etc.
In the end, like I say, TapeIt saved the day, but for long pieces it can be tedious to sit and wait for it to render out.
Thing is, you can get Kontakt to do it in realtime by maxing out the CPU (using a ton of muted Ambience inserts).
It's almost as if Kontakt (or Absynth) is having a CPU panic and cutting out at render time.
I've tried reporting it, but it falls upon deaf ears over at NI. Pity, cause NI make nice synths.

I'll bring it up on the NI Absynth forum too - at least EW mods that I think.

Seems there are others with similar problems with absynth - damn, I need it to work for me right now.

Bump...
Exactly the same problem "with EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Gold Edition" based on Kompakt (from Native instruments.)
(Many silent moments in the rendered tracks).

That would be surprising if it does not work perfectly with Cubase/Sonar/Nuendo.
Maybe N.I. VSTs does some strange things during rendering but that would be great if Mackie (Jules?) does something to make Tracktion work with them.

Yes - I'm still waiting for word from Beno or someone at the Mackie end about this - there is definately a problem with how NI apps and Tracktion interact.

I've been doing some more testing, mostly loading midi files and assigning the tracks to an instance of Kontakt with an identical selection of sounds in T2, energyXT and FL Studio in order to try and get a similar comparison (no added effects, VSTs etc.).
There definately seems to be something going on in Tracktion that is making this problem extremely common, as I wasn't able to replicate the problem in either eXT or FL Studio.
I know Jules is busy with 101 things at the moment, but I'm wondering if this is a known issue with Tracktion?
