hello,
i´ve just a pitchbend wheel at my little keyboard i use to play notes into the sequencer. it is possible to define the pitchbendwheel as modwheel in tracktion just like the input-transformer in cubase etc.?

Post

BendCC - for Kuckuck.

one control sets the CC your pitchwheel will control. plonk it before a synth.

[incidentally in case anyone else needs to block pitchwheel data for any reason the quick filter i made for djsubject is available here too]

thanks man..will this work w/ automation too if it's thrown in a track?

Post

it sure will :)

if have automation record enabled while you're playing back, then your pitchbend movements will be stored as an automation line for the BendCC filter. you can then edit that line as much as you like :).

hello haydxn,
thanks for help but i dont understand how to use this plugin exactly, i place it before the synth and then? i can change the number in the plugin-window when clicking and moving the mouse, but nothing at the vsti is changing. so whats wrong?

it should just chainge the data that passes through when you move the pitch wheel

eg if you set it to 01 then the pitch wheel movement from the midi input should hit the vsti as a mod wheel movment or 07 would make the pitch wheel become a volume controll (or is the 09  ) & i think 10 is pan

the rest are up to you to find ;)

well, it depends on the plugin you're using. it has to respond to MIDI CC controllers (numbered 0-127). if your synth responds to mod-wheel movements, then the CC you want is CC#1 (set the control to show 1). if your synth lets you map them as you please, just match the number on the BendCC to the number you choose for the synth parameter.

ideally, if the synth has midi-learn, you just activate midi learn for the control you want and then waggle your pitch-bend- BendCC will turn it into the currently set CC data, which will be picked up by the synth and locked to that control.

not all synths have this kind of feature tho :( but a lot do; most synths have some kind of CC implementation, you should check the relevant docs to see what it may be.

you just have to put BendCC before the synth, and have your MIDI input connected to the track.
