Might be a stupid question and might be more to the sample tank users... but I cannot get any sound out of the sampletank SE coming with Tracktion2
I create the "filter" and open ST, yes, I load an instrument, and playing on the keyroll at the bottom sounds fine. But there is nothing coming out, playing a midi track. I tried several positions (before and after level control) and in one, I even can SEE a level, but no output sound.
The output is on standard audio (although I tried several)... I am sure, the error sits in front of the computer, but there might be someone able to help me.
Other VSTs work fine! And I had exactly the same problem with Cubase SE...

Sampletank always assigns a MIDI channel to each instrument instead of defaulting to "all channels". So, if your MIDI clip uses channel 5 (for example) and you load your sound into slot 1 of Sampletank, which defaults to channel 1, then you'll hear nuffink.
It's kind of fiddly to change channels in ST, also. Open it up, and to the left of where the name of your loaded sound appears is a channel list. You need to right-click and drag, or just right click, or something like that... <don't have it handy, sorry!> to change it.
