If I have say three tracks, each containing a VST soft synth, is there a way to prevent having to reassign the MIDI input every time I switch from one synth to the next(for auditioning sounds)?
It seems like MIDI input assignment should stick with the track instead of having to select the MIDI input, and record-enable just to audition sounds on a different track.
thanks,
Brian

change the input mode, from the options button at the bottom of the screen - you're in 'PER TRACK INPUT' mode, deselect that option. you now have little draggable wedges for your inputs, and all you need to do is drag it down to the next input you want to audition
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Thanks for your help. I guess I've been avoiding using the other mode because the wedges seem to clutter up the left side of the screen. They overlap and hide the input names. I wish we could 'auto arrange' those wedges.
I still wish the MIDI input assignment would stick with instrument tracks.

Brian
