Receptor won't boot

Took possession of my new receptor tonight but find that I can't get it to boot. Pressing power lights the unit up briefly. The display clicks off then back on again and show's an initializing display for a number of seconds and then the unit powers off. I have to completely unplug the unit and wait for it to respond again. When it does power up, it only repeats the same thing. The time before the unit powers off seems to be longer if the unit is unplugged longer. I've tried this with the Ilok insterted and not. Plugging in the monitor doesn't reveal anything.
Did I miss something in the manual?

Sounds like defective hardware. You should call or email customer support. Try calling (650) 326-6180 tomorrow during West Coast business hours.

Speaking with Bryan at Muse, he indicated that the first time it turns off and on, it's part of a normal power test.
