I'm actually the fella that wrote tracktion... nowadays I just tend to let Mackie get on with it, and don't have much involvement

That sounds pretty far removed from the "Mackie will just let me get on with it whilst removing the burden of marketing, distribution and sales from my shoulders" plan of yore...

so I've been developing a few other bits and pieces to keep myself amused.

Pity you "don't have much involvement" anymore, jules. Apparently, there are rumours of A Big List of feature requests - I'm sure that'd keep you out of mischief for a while (say, 6 months?).

I have to admit, I was also quite surprised, and I can see this new announcement causing a bit of concern amongst Tracktion users. Many of whom will now be wondering "exactly who is working on Tracktion now?".

I have a mental image of Beno sitting in front of the PC with a copy of "Practical C++ Programming" and "Digital Signal Processing Guide"...
