I dont know if anybody else every has this problem, or if its just me.
I use a desktop for 95% of my music, but every now and then I need to take a midi file from this desktop to a much faster laptop.
The problem is off and on for me, but many times, I am unable to get that midi file exported at all. I will do it many times in a row.
I get the progress meter (as if it were processing no data..quickly) then I go to the proposed destination, and nothing is there...I then go to do it again with the exact file name (to see if its really there or possibly hidden) and the same thing happens.
Ive checked the "render selected tracks only" as well as "run data through filters".
It does this in T1 as well as T2.
The file in question has a sfz on it. Could this be messing up or bypassing the render?

You need to re-route all the MIDI you want included in the export to an actual MIDI out: Trackion renders its output in the same way it would for an audio file. Its weird I know..

Sorry, I don't understand that at all..
Re-route all your tracks to "default midi out" and export again.. does that not work?

In your T2 edit, do you have "Pass MIDI through filters" turned on? (edit - just checked, yes you have)
As far as I'm concerned this is completely dud and always results in absolutely no file being created at all, regardless of filters, lack of filters or track destinations.
I'm hoping MIDI export will get a serious overhaul. I love using Tracktion as a scratchpad for ideas and then working in notation, but at the moment I'm having to use eXT as a workaround.

ok...its kind of off and on, like I said before. I was trying to squeeze a midi out before I went to work today...so Im not in front of my system now, its probably something that a restart will fix.
Sorry IIRs.
I thought you were thinking (figure that one out) I was trying to render a single drum midi file to seperate tracks and such...
I was just trying to get ONE midi file out of tracktion so I could move it to my laptop and render that bad boy to a single (stereo wav) file.
