Even the most basic apps. since computers began have this very useful feature:
-They tell you when the drive is full when your saving a file.
With Tracktion it does nothing.
This means that you can easily think you've saved when infact you have just lost your edit/ achive/ export.
I think this is basic programming and needs an immediate fix.

This kind of programming puts my songs at risk and reduces my trust in the programme.
It's a big price to pay for not being totally ontop of your 'house keeping' 100% of the time. I mean think about it, 100% of the time! if you forget just once and your saving a large song, you'd go purple with rage if it disappeared without warning.
Maybe I should reiterate the problem: Trackion gives the impression that nothing is wrong and it saved fine. You don't find out until the next time you try to load the file that it's blank.

People run all sorts of systems with Trackion large and small. Disk space is getting bigger but so are the file size with 24bit/192khz sample rates.
I reckon people have run into this before but its not realised the problem thinking they have a flaky system or something. It took me a day of trouble shooting to find that the partion being full was the problem, and even then it was a pure accident that made me think that was the cause. This is not an easy thing to solve.

i think thats just silly to have to depend on a program for your inadequate space. if you provide yourself with at least 40gb or so (go on www.newegg.com, buy some big HD on there, easy enough) then you can have so much space with little to no reason to worry

We'll look into this. Tracktion should report if an export fails. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

neener neener at Ron!
Go buy a life, dude.
No app should *ever* silently fail a save or export, period.

I cant imagine workin to the point where I'd fill my HD without my knowledge. Granted, audio files take up alot of space, but, the MOST IMPORTANT tool you have for making music nowdays is your computer. You have to make sure your computer is "tuned up" for the job. It's kinda like a race car. Not only does it have to be tuned up, but you have to make sure you have enough gas. In this analogy gas = HD. You shouldn't really start the race with a gallon of gas in the tank.
Scoops
I have a really fast computer, some good mics, vintage musical instruments, and lots of fancy software. Just need some talent
