I'm not sure if this doable or not with tracktion as it currently sits but it would be nice to roll up a number of sub tracks into a main track. I don't see this as a bounce (render) function but something that could be used with multiple automation curves on an existing track. I've started to use multiple tracks to show multiple automation parameters but after a while the screen gets a little busy. It would be nice to click on a "roll up" button and hide the automation tracks. Click on the same button and the automation tracks appear.

This could also be used on a track render. I will often render tracks to cut down on the CPU usage then mute the source track. If I could include the source track as a subtrack then it's just a matter of clicking the "rollup" button to hide it or view it. I prefer to use the render track in place of the freeze function as it provides me with a bit more flexibility to work with the signal (i.e. eq adjustmets for the mix).

Thoughts? If this is already doable let me know how.

Thanks.

You're basically asking for folder tracks, which I believe is covered in haydxn's unofficial FR sticky.

There's been a fair bit of discussion on what form folder tracks should take too. Try doing a search for 'folder tracks.' It's been a while since one of those threads was resurrected, so I'm sure there are a few people around here who missed them.
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

Hmmm... That's exactly it... Thanks for pointing that out. I never really thought of looking up there.
