So I just bought in. (I'm a little giddy from the rush of my credit card and wondering if I can make it work...) I have a question about the RAM.
I have very modest needs -- I hope to use the unit as a spacy guitar effects unit: filters, distortion, delays. I'm planning on using the Ohm stuff, at least to start with, and Reaktor (as an effects unit) if you ever get it running. And Loopy Llama. That's probably about it, for now.
So: how much RAM should I get? Will the 256M suffice, or else 1G or 2G? What do you recommend?
How much memory?

The Ohm stuff is pretty efficient. 256MB should be enough. But, the only way to tell for sure is to try it. If you use many effects at once you may need more RAM. If you are not going to use large sample libraries you don't need 2GB.
I would try with 256MB, and if the CPU meter goes too high, I would buy another stick of RAM, either 512MB or 1GB if you can afford. You can keep the 256MB and just add RAM in the other slot so you get either 768MB or 1.25GB
