T2 running invisibly, eating my cpu.

OK, here's the deal. Yesterday, T was running great. No probs whatsoever. Last night I left my DAW running because I had planned on working with it some more, later. I fell asleep before getting that chance(getting old sucks )...

Anywho, when I went back down today to use it, the screen was dark. I have it set to turn off the monitor after a couple hours, just in case something like this happens. No biggie. I hit the space bar to turn the monitor on and notice my hard drive is chugging like crazy. When the monitor comes up T2 is still running (actually playing back, cursor moving etc.), but no sound. This has happened before in this type situation and is usually solved with a reboot. Done.

Audio interface now functional.

Assuming problem solved, I go on to install my shiny new Wusikstation synth. After several false starts trying to determine exactly where I want it, it's installed.

Fire up T2. No splash screen,nothing. I get the hourglass and that's all. I also notice my DAW has slowed to a crawl. Task manager informs me T is running at darn near 100%, but I can't even see it!

Reboot again. Reinstall T2. Still same. After reinstalling I never get the page that says "T2 ready to go" or somesuch. Reboot and reinstall again. Same deal. I'm beginning to panic now, so I try a system restore. Restored to last Thursday. Still the same.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Did you re-install over the top? Have you tried un-installing first?

Nah, that has it's own share of problems!

To be honest, I didn't even know T had an uninstaller. I just remember Jules always saying to just run the installer again, if there was a problem.
