reason with t2

i'm having trouble with reason. after I've recorded a reason part using rewire, and i go to the next track, tracktion plays both reason and the other instrument [ie kontakt].
i want to use the next instrument and its playing both

make sure you have a dedicated midi channel for each instrument

And deselect the midi icon from the sequencer track in Reason which is being played by Tracktion. You can do both - have midi from Tracktion play some instruments, and the seq in Reason play some. I often do that, to make sure I'm sufficiently confused when I reopen a project...
