Hello!
We had problems in the past but we got a mail from HC telling that they wanted us to put a link to their site, we did, and now we get our press releases posted, except our latest for some reason...
They haven't posted our "Langegard pump organ" press release, and we posted it twice...
Best,
Lars

They may not be interested to publish freebees, think about that. The net is crowded with so much music related new tools that they have to do some kind of selection. Freebees from independent small developers will probably be rejected more often then major releases from big business companies.
Best,
Lars

I guess so. Never mind, it's getting out there. Google shows nearly 60,000 instances now (overwhelmingly duplicates from the K-v-R feed) up from less than 50 when I first started.precisionsound wrote:They may not be interested to publish freebees, think about that. Cheers Lars.

Maybe they're afraid the keywords "pump" and "organ" will get the wrong kind of traffic.precisionsound wrote: "Langegard pump organ" press release, and we posted it twice...

The other thing to note is that they can be quite slow sometimes (up to 7 days, vs 24-48 hours for KvR... still better than the magazines mind you), and they're probably still backlogged with AES press releases right now.

Cheers Angus,
I've just noticed that the Vember Audio Surge has hit their site. That was posted here on the 17th and I didn't mail HC until the 18th so there's still plenty of time.
To tell you the truth I half hope they ignore me. I blew through my monthly bandwidth allowance in two hours after it hit K-v-R's news. This freeware lark could get expensive.

Kind of ironic for a site called 'Harmony Central' to ignore a plugin called 'Chordspace'. OK, I'll get me coat.
Seriously, they seem to have more of an old-school focus on that site... Lots of press releases for 'burgundy wood-lacquered Hall and Oates special edition 69 Stratocasters' and the like during AES for example...

I actually didn't send HC the press-release until yesterday. Looks like they could be ignoring you.

Talking about getting response from some sites/mags...
It seems to be quite normal for some of them to be totally out of reach, no matter what I do.

Set a price of $200. Offer Guitar Center a special rate of $50 and tell them you are charging the other music stores $100. Let them talk you down further, then maybe they will make sure it is posted on HC.nuffink wrote: Looks that way. I'd better start charging.
(Yes. GC owns HC now.)

They post freebies, usually from established companies but not always.I'm not sure what the politics involved are in getting freebies posted.Maybe the editor posted the ones he liked or stumbled accross, but they do post them occasionally.precisionsound wrote:They may not be interested to publish freebees
