Any solution to this?
I found it somewhat strange, the midi export also does ignore sysex. I have a hardware synth and it's required to use it comfortably.

Well, that's half more than I thought you'd be able to do at all! 
AFAIK, there's no sysex support in Tracktion at all. Or am I just going crazy?

Nope. You can actually record a sysex messages and even edit them to an extent! But not sending apparently. Maybe they're halfway through implementing it, and it snuck its way into the public release.

Sysex has been there since version 1 Greg!
I don't know about sending sysex as I don't usually use that with hardware: I suppose I could test it with my VS880 if I have to, but its a bit of a pain (MIDI is not plugged in atm) .. however, I just tested MIDI export and the sysex was included..

Then something strange must be happening in my computer. The windows's media player sends sysex ok. I know because I've some midi demos for my hardware synth. The same midi file played from T2 just doesn't.IIRs wrote:Sysex has been there since version 1 Greg!

Anyway it's good to know this isn't a bug in a T2 but something wrong with my setup.

I vaguely remember hearing something about a length limit for Sysex strings.. maybe yours are too long? Do you have the MIDI implementation spec for your H/W? If so you could check if the sysex T records is being truncated in some way. (The only sysex I ever deal with is the short "MIP" messages in sp-midi ringtones..)

It's all clear now.
My hardware synth (the fs1r) is just sending very long sysexs and they got truncated in a T2. Tried recording them with midiox and indeed they are (by a factor of 4 or even more). This is so unfortunately, I'll have to use an another program to record/sends those sysexs.

Bank Selects are actually just two specific controller messages. (cc0 = bank select MSB and cc32 = bank select LSB)
I made a small synthedit plug, Patch Manager, which might help if you are on a PC: it provides an easier way to send bank select messages, along with 128 blank preset slots so you can create FXB's that correspond to the presets on your H/W, and then use Tracktion's built in preset management as if it were just another VSTi.
