Why is my controller messing up my screens in Tracktion??

Hello, I just downloaded the demo version of Tracktion 2 and I hooked up my computer with my controller keyboard (Keystation Pro). Anyways, I've set my controller as my "input MIDI device" in the settings tab page. Now, when I'm in the main screen to to my composing, everytime I press certain keys on my controller keyboard, Tracktion responds to the key pressing and changes screens, moves cursors, etc., kind of like it's using my controller as shortcut keys for the keymappings. How do I disable this? Hope someone can help me. Thanks!

the controllers tab is specifically for control surfaces such as the MCU or C4 devices.

Go back and deselect your midi inputs on this tab (both boxes need to be unassigned).

I can't help but wonder if there's not a way to make that particular settings tab clearer (in terms of its usage and purpose). If I didn't know better, I'd make the exact same mistake.

short of putting a large "leave this page alone if you don't one of the listed pieces of hardware" message soemwhere on that page , I'm not sure what they could do[1].

I don't know whether it is possible to detect the presence of an MCU or C4, and warn if one isn't connected. If so, maybe that'd be a more usueful feature. I also think that the assigned inputs showing up on the edit page is both confusing and annoying, but that's a separate issue.
