Mysterious silence in Render

I am getting a pop/click at the beginning of my render for an edit that has no sound at that point. The first clip starts a measure or two in but sometimes when I render I get the whole edit from the start even though there is nothing there and it comes in the forma a pop and then silence, and then the render starts. Tried everything and cannot get rid of it. Has anybody else experinced this?

Automation is off, and trim silence option is on during render (normally very reliable except for this one edit) - s

Have you had any latency problems in normal use? Perhaps try adjusting the settings for playback. It's fixed the odd pop for me on occasions.

Do you have a DC offset problem perhaps? Try a highpass filter in the master section, set to 20Hz or so.. see if that makes any difference.

thanks for the suggestions, I will try them. (I haven't ever had latency problems but I guess that could be it) - s
