receptor/kontakt 2/cpu

Hi,

I´m thinking of buying a receptor for some time now. I´d need it just for one thing for now: running Kontakt 2 with loads of different multisamples at low latency without ANY glitches or crashes.
I use a zendrum (a percussion midi-controller) to trigger my laptop on stage right now, but I don´t like this whole "laptop-on-stage" thing. I trigger drumsamples which means latency is important.
I don´t need editing with the receptor, that part would be done in the computer. I can´t afford anything like weird noises, samples missing or delayed or any stuff like that.
Will receptor do that? How stable is it in real life-use, especially with Kontakt? Did it ever crash on you guys? I have to make up my mind between a new laptop, dedicated to life-playing or a receptor.
Also, will there be an updated version with a more powerful cpu at some point?
