hello... i'm having trouble getting my midi keyboard to play notes in fruity loops.

Basic rundown:
I have fruity rewired properly into T2. I have the track armed to record midi. I can actully see the signal is being received inside fruity loops, but the sample is not being triggered.

If i go into the piano roll and draw a note that plays fine. Also if i light up a button in the step sequencer, that will play as well. But as far as my midi keyboard is concerned it won't trigger any sound from fruity.

Its definitly getting the signal because i see it light up on fruitys page... I have not other problems triggering nots with any other rewire software [Reason] etc...

Thanks

Is the keyboard transmitting on the correct MIDI Channel, and is your MIDI Channel setting for the MIDI input device in Tracktion set to "none"?
Someone shot the food. Remember: don't shoot food!

yes and yes..

i don't know if i'm missing something that should be set within fruity on the midi page. when i switch channels in fruity, and then switch the channel in T2.
I can see its receiving messages, but I get no sound.
And this is happening with fruity in both rewire and vst mode....

Not all pieces of software use the same note as middle C. I'm not sure about Fruity and Tracktion, but try playing an octave or two up or down from where you expect the note to be and see if it triggers anything. Expecially if the fruity generator is something that only makes sounds across a small selection of notes, eg, some kind of drum sampler.

If this is the problem there's a setting you can change in tracktion to affect what it treats as middle C.
"my gosh it's a friggin hardware"
