If I export a project as an archive, what happens to the wave files that are in my sampler? When I unpack the archive file, I notice that my beats still play. Does the sampler copy them into memory? Does this mean that I will never loose anything if I export like this?

archives export your project / edit details AND all related audio and MIDI files ... so although they are obviously therefore bigger than a 'normal' saved project / edit they DO mean that EVERYTHING you need for that project / edit is all there ...
