can you use a sustain pedal or a knob slider from your controller to comepletely bypass certain effects in the chain ..(like the x button on the mix page) im thinkin of an amp sim followed by maybe leslie and being able to completely bypass the leslie when you dont want it rather than KNOBBING away the depth/etc...im trying to switch quicker between effects by having three stacked up and then selecting them either IN or BYPASSED with the controller or foot pedal ..within the same song (so loading a whole new patch is less effective)

thanks

You can use MIDI controller messages to control each aspect of the mixer. It's all in chapter 15 of the manual.

be warned though, if you go this route there is a gap in playback each time you bypass/enable an effect in the chain (unless that's fixed in recent versions?)...the best way to configure the receptor as a guitar proc is to set up a different channel for each "sound" you want your guitar to have, and mute/unmute or bypass/unbypass entire channels. i have a "clean" channel and one or more "affected" channels, and i use an fx send for verb and/or delay. it's actually a pretty nice setup once you're used to it.

also, research your foot controller thoroughly. at first i tried a roland controller that was good & solid but couldn't be assigned to CC#'s above 96...making it basically useless for controlling the receptor's mixer functions. i ended up going with yamaha's controller and it works like a charm.
