Midi Yoke

Hello,

I don't have a mod wheel so I'm trying to use TenCrazy.com's Controla, which will let my mouse movements map to CC#1. It requires Midi Yoke, and it seems to work fine in Cubase, but I can't seem to get it to work in Tracktion?

I drag the Midi Yoke #1 input to the track (and set it as my output in ControlA), but it doesn't seem to receive any data from Controla. The same set up seems to work in Cubase.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Chinmay

perhaps my XYZControl plugin can be of use? it's just a VST plugin you can put before any of your synths/fx, and is an XY pad with mousewheel control; right-click will lock the ball to the mouse so you don't need to hold a button down, and you can resize it to any size on your monitor.

you can find it in the TOOLS section of my website (click on the frogs below)

Don't have any suggestions to fix it right now, but i've definitely had MIDI Yoke working successfuly with tracktion (v1.6) so it should be possible...

Hi haydxn - your plugin seems to be exactly what I need, but how do I use it so that my mouse movements are recorded for that particular CC#?

Post

you need to enable automation record, and it will store the movements as an automation line. when you have automation playback enabled, the line will move the ball again for you. the automation playback/record buttons are on the transport area, and if you drag the small 'A' in the top right hand corner of a track onto the plugin, you can view the automation line.
