Interested in receptor w/uniwire but... I need my Proteus X

Is there any plan to support the EMU Proteus X or Emulator X. I'm a Mac guy who has a PC configged as a vst host (using audio and midi cables to shuttle data back and forth). Therefore Receptor with uniwire really peaks my interest.

But I rely heavily on the EMU Proteus X

Are there any plans to support the Proteus/Emulator X? I know they tie their stuff to hardware, is that the deal breaker? Or is there some other technical hang-up?

I have a proteus x myself...but I am pretty sure it depends on the EMU sound cards DSP stuff to function. Since the sound card protocals in Receptor is not an EMU, I don't think it would work..just my thoughts.

EDIT: an alternative would be to get a used EMU sound module like en MP7, or Proteus 2000 fully loaded, and use that for live work. I LOVE my MP7, but I also have my ProteusX system. However for availability and use of sounds and the actual interface ( which goes well with Receptor) I prefer the MP7.

Actually, the Proteus X doesn't directly utilize the soundcard's DSP. Of course you can route the Proteus X's output signal through the DSP fx, but that goes for any host/synth. Proteus X is totally software (including its effects) that only checks to see if the hardware is there.

So I'm guessing its because of that but I just thought I'd ask...
