Dealing with imported wave files could we have

1. The ability to group wave files on a single track together and also then be able to loop the group?
This would help a lot with those of us who like to hand write our beats instead of using a sampler or VST Drum box. It would also be great for putting a wave break together with Tracktion and then being able to work on the group of files as if they were a single entity under the group function....

2. If Tracktion fails to find waves for a set track on loading, could we be able to do a search for lost material on the whole track?
I had my hand drum lines x2 drop the files I imported and to search for the lost material for every beat and sub beat is tedious at the extreame.

Just some little thoughts which would be a great time saving device for me and maybe others. If these things can already be done than a pointer would be greatly appreciated as I am obviously clueless :)

That aside, I'm having a ball and my second track is nearing completion.

Thanks
Leave ones footprint in that of the mind not the physical world. We have screwed it over enough.

Most of us totally agree with #1 (rendering is a workaround, but it's not the same as merging clips), and I for one agree with #2. Or at least, I can see why you'd need/want it. I don't have as many small "particles", but I'd really like to see an auto-find feature in general. It could be made 'intelligent' so that it looks for certain variables, stored with the edit. (ie. # of bytes, time created... stuff like that)
