FR: Loop Record over multiple clips/punch-in/out sections

I love loop record.

I want more of it like this:

Imagine you can arm a track so that it can do loop record over each song section you've setup with markers.

So if you have intro as being everything up to marker 1, verse1 from marker 1 to 2, chorus1 from marker 2 to 3, verse2 from marker 3 to 4, etc.

When you would select this option that I'm suggesting, you could record several takes of the whole song, one after another, and each section would get auto-split into looped record sections.

Pick your best intro, verse1, chorus1, verse2, chorus2, bridge etc. looped record clips and bang - you are done - everthing on one track that you need for that voice/instrument.

Am I making sense with this FR? Think of it as an extension to loop record/punch-in and punch-out.

You could even extend the thinking a little more and allow for some prescribed fade-in/fade-out on the sections, even if they overlap, to avoid potential pops on the split points.

You mean with spaces in between them?

Ie. Your song has 2 choruses before the verse, but you only want to loop 1 chorus' worth of measures before jumping past the 2nd chorus to the first verse?

Not necessarily spaces, just that T would do the loop record and automatically split at marker positions. Then you would have individual looped record clips for the marked off sections.

Does that split every clip in a stack in the looped clip, or just the one that's 'on top'? If it splits all of the stacked clips simultaneously, then I agree no new feature necessary.
