TapeOp runs small conventions on recording and mastering about 1 time a year, called TapeOpCon. This year, there will be workshops on ProTools, Nuendo, Logic, Digital Performer and TRACKTION.

What's the cheapest of any of those others? I guess PT LE is only a few hundred, but aren't the rest a good 3-4x Tracktion's price?

Well, that TapeOp mag is great. The best.
I'm sure we'll be seeing Tracktion more and more up against the established software in all the trades...
