Ok.....I tried using RMIV with,Stepbeater I believe it was called,as a step editor.Ran into a big problem:can't do any odd-time signature patterns,Stepbeater don't save the patterns,can't figure out how to use them to build patterns,CPU runs a bit higher than I would like...etc. Yikes! I want to use Fruity Loops as I was doing in Sonar 3,but it won't sync with Tracktion correctly.
Let me explain.I installed FL as a plugin,but not a rewire device.Now,when I try to use it,by dropping it into an empty track,it only plays if I click the play button inside it,close,and hit play in Tracktion.Won't play by itself,so I can't make beats inside of it.Also does not sync up,and I know this not only becuase of the obvious sound,but the sync light in the program(FL)is not lit up.What exactly is going on?
This is an older version of FL....like,2 years old.Don't know the # or whatever.I got it to work in Cubase and Sonar.On both of these,you hit play in the host and it automatically plays the pattern.What is strange is it does sync with the tempo of the project! So if my tempo is 115,it is the same within FL.Huh? Any ideas would really help me out...I'm confused to death haha!
Other than this,I love Tracktion so far! Way easier to use,makes better recordings faster! Now if I could just get me old drum machine back(FL)I will be set! Thanks to all in advance!

Well,I tried some other drum synth demos and free,and decided to buy NUSofting DK+ Virtual Drums becuase it does exactly what I needed.I can make patterns,and then create a song with all of them,and choose the time signature for each.The kits sound great too! I just was playin' around with the demo and already got done making some parts for my songs.can't go wrong since it is only $38!!! Really LOW CPU usage as well.
Anyone else using this with Tracktion 2,or just in general? I like it...nice interface.You can get skins for it too,which is kinda neat I guess.Hopefully I'll have the full version tommorow,then everything will start falling into place.
