Setting up Mackie sidechain comp

Morning all,

I have a long pad sound (on track 1) which I want to go silent when a drum is played (on track 2).
If I understand rightly I can use a side chain compressor (such as the bundled Mackie one) to do this.

Can anyone help me set this up? I'm guessing the plug goes on track 1, but how do I set it up so that track 2 is the input signal?
