Just wanted to say it. Again. I've used it since "the beginning" and it's been so great. I can't imagine using another sequencer ever again.

So, there i said it :D .

I'm a convert from Pro Tools, and this weekend I was able to put in about 15 hours on Tracktion, doing multiple projects. Its like Tracktion can read your mind sometimes, its so intuitive. GREAT PROGRAM!!! :D

but how can you work with MIDI? everytime I look at the piano roll I get a turn off. do most people get such impression the first time?

Post

Change your colour scheme. ;)

Same here. I've tried Traction from time to time. But I really dislike that pianoroll. Otherwise it seems great (maybe a little messy).

Post

I don't know how the sleekest GUI of all sequencers can be described as "messy", but that's cool... you seem to enjoy it regardless. ;)

I wonder if either of you changed from the default colour scheme? For that matter, I wonder why Mackie haven't changed the default colour scheme yet... (sorry, Beno!)

But, this thread is to "up" Tracktion, not have me start bickering and grumbling. ;)

Go, Tracktion!

there are a few of us that dislike T2's midi editing

but midi editing dose have all the tools you need

& the rest of the program makes up for it IMO

 T2

I disagree with the Pro Tools comment, I could put a mix in front of you from both and you couldn't tell the difference. As far a ease, Tracktion, blows Pro Tools away, I even had the Control 24, still Tracktion is easier and more intuitive. I have the upmost respect for Pro Tools and as far as compatability its the standard but, alot of pro studios are moving to DP. If I were to open another studio I would incorporate Tracktion without thinking twice. I do alot of my midi in Reason, so I havent had to deal with Tracktions midi that much, But its very usable to me.

not even considering the colors, the midi just doesn't suit me :(

Oh,

IMO T2's midi editing is far far far far better than reasons

it's just not quite up to par with the likes of sonar, logic & eXT. IMO!

but its all about personal preference :)
