How to buy a Mackie Traktion T2 licence...and how much?

Well I've downloaded the demo,played around til T2 recorded a passable new song.

...now all I need to do is pay up...but how...and how much?

I don't believe you can buy just a license online anymore (since Mackie took over and the release of V2). I think you have to get the boxed version, which normally goes for $149 at most places.

Occasionally you will see a listing in the market place forum here for someone selling their download version. Occasionally it comes up for 50-75 u.s. dollars.

Thanks for the update jpl and dto. I'm still a bit confused? The software clearly asks you to go on site and 'register' which I take means...pay! I've tried the local shop and they only have a bundle with a breakout box affair called 'Spike' which would be a costly way of getting the software...and an extra box of little use to me. (I use a Delta 44 card & box.) I'll have to go the second-hand route...seems weird business sense though? Surely it can't be true?

"Register" is for for registering a version that you have already bought. Tracktion comes in a boxed version with the software and the bundled plug-ins. It can be purchased from any Mackie dealer. If they don't have it in stock, they can easily order it from us. Or you can purchase it online from the many online retailers.

Tracktion is available as either a boxed product or bundled with several hardware products. The full boxed version comes with quite a few additional instruments.
Unfortunately, Mackie marketing and distribution is very US-centric. In countries besides United States, it seems to be hard or impossible to find and very costly. In some countries (mine included) getting it bundled with hardware seems like the only way to get it new.

Weird bussiness sense? seem like no sense at all to me.

Thank you for posting that, Ben. But what if your country is nowhere on those lists?
(of course you can import that, which can increase cost and be quite a hassle - but is somewhat of a solution).

Thanks for your offer...but posting can be problematic (and may not pass customs' scrutiny my end...and their charges are outrageous to say the least.) Therefore, I'm (personally) only interested in a license key rather than discs etc.
