MUTON FREE Beta 1 has been released to the beta test user group.

MUTON FREE is a limited but free version, available on OSX and Windows.

MUTON's core feature set:

* Audio Recording & Playback
* MIDI Recording & Playback
* Composition & Sequence Editing
* Effect & Instrument VST Plugins
* Powerful Audio Mixing Desk
* Audio Engine using 32 bit floats, almost any samplerate
* Sample accurate sequencing
* ASIO Compatible
* Multi Undo/Redo

As soon as this beta has proven to be stable enough, it will be available to everyone

Whee! A quick niggle before I launch the app

"User Guide\style\style.css" - please don't specify font sizes in pixels. You may have a 27" 640x480 monitor, I may have a 17" 1280x1024 monitor. Our pixels are different. You will not get the effect you want. (Can you tell this is something that irritates me?

) Use points if it's absolutely imperitive that the font is an exact size on the screen. That's highly unlikely though. If what you want is your font 10% larger than what I see by default, use "110%".

The skinning system looks good...

Now, of to play!

The "choose colour" editor isn't working for parts

The box doesn't reflect the colour I clicked on in the main picker area. Ah. Once you've picked a colour from the presets, it works. But it doesn't seem to know what colour it's starting out as when you first go into it.

I just downloaded the OSX version beta. Hmmm... How do I make some sound come out of this?? Can't get a sound so far... Any instructions, direction etc. Maybe I'm missing something...

How to I make the "File Folder Browser" wide enough to browse my file folders? Some of the folder names (individual ones) on my system are 50 characters and the window isn't wide enough and seems to be fixed width.

MUTON FREE is the same as MUTON Unlimited, except for these limits:

* Maximum 4 VST Instruments
* VSTIs are single-channel
* Only 1 Audio Stream Mixer Strip
* Maximum 2 Send Mixer Strips

Besides this, MUTON FREE works exactly the same as MUTON Unlimited.

Ok, is this one better: http://www.mutools.com/temp/style.css

Please put that in your User Guide/style folder

By the way: do you find a fontsize problem when visiting mutools.com too?

Yeah, it only updates the result color when clicking the vertical "light" bar.

Will be improved.

What do you want to do?

-> Play with VST Instruments?
-> Record Vocals or Guitar or so?

Yeah, the window is fixed now. Will make it resizable.
