Bug..? or just a dumb dumb!

I used a delay filter in one of my vocal "clips" and automated it the "wet" parameters. The problem I am having is that sometimes the effect works fine during play back and other times it doesn't kick in at all. Is this an automation/filter bug or am I just overlooking something here.?????

Hard to say without more info. Like which plug-in, and exactly what it's set to. Are you using Tracktion's "native" delay?

Actually I was using the Big Tick dual delay (just to check it out) as far as the settings go....Left and right are are just set at random,Cutoff>96%,Rez>19%,wet/Dry>90%Sync/cross/Group>all on. What I am trying to accomplish here is to "fade in" the effect at the tail end of a vocal clip to allow the delay to carry the end of the vocal.
