Culture and Stormdrum with Receptor?

Farhan,
They would be really cool in Receptor for me as I am planning to use it with my V Drums. I don't have Culture but I understand it's pretty superb. It's all percussion, in case you didn't know. 9 gigabytes worth.
What actually happens with dongle-driven VSTs in Receptor. Do you just plug the dongle into one of Receptor's VST ports?
Perhaps you could clarify a little on this topic, please.

Dongle driven VSTs usually means it has some sort of copy protection. The two more popular ones are the PACE protection and syncrosoft protection. Now, we dont know what protection Culture uses, it may not be these two, it could their own properitery one which doubt it is the case. Muse supports PACE for now and perhaps syncrosoft in the future.
In other words, while i suspect stormdrum could be receptorised under user installable, Culture may require the vendor working closely with us to support the software. If their dongle protection uses PACE, the process of getting them receptorised is faster. If it is PACE, you should perhaps introduce them to Receptors

Farhan,
I did email Yellow Tools (the company behind Culture) a few days ago to ask them if they had any plans towards Receptor but so far I haven't had a reply. There's no mention of PACE on their website section that deals with the USB key, either. I suspect it may be proprietory, though I may email them again if I've had no reply by the end of the weekend.

Hi Tim
Yellow Tools (who make Culture) use their own dongle, but I have reason to believe it is a synchrosoft dongle. I'll be over at Messe in a couple of weeks, and I'll talk to them about it... we've approached them before, and its been tough getting anything going with them. StormDrum however will most likely be supported, and hopefully soon...
Cheers

I just got this reply from Yellow Tools regarding Culture in Receptor:
"Hi Tim,
thanks for your interests in Culture.
Since Receptor contains an USB port, you can connect our USB Authorization Key that is required for the use of the product.
Thus there is no special Receptor version of Culture but you can use the regular version without problems.
Best regards
Christian"
Is this correct?

I wish that was true, believe me, but he's missing one important detail... we run Linux. There has to be some work done so that their copy protectoin is recognized by Receptor. Of course, miracles do happen, but I'd have to say probably not in this case.
I'll talk to Christian at Musik Messe in a couple of weeks and hopefully we can get something worked out...
Cheers

P.S. Not too many people know that DR008, included on Receptor, includes alot of the sounds found in Culture... apparently there was some kind of licensing deal that went on... You might want to check that out.
