Hmm. Strange.
Did you copy the luna.exe beta 8 in the luna 7 folder (Coz it work just fine here).
To jo:
Is there possible to resize luna (I can'find a way to do this).
I also have problem with assigning a vst to the midi track that is in there with notes, when i hit the piano roll to the left it plays the sound (But not on playback)

That means that LUNA is running in an empty folder.SonicBreeze wrote:Is LUNA Beta 8 ok or something wrong with my patching?
Screen Show like this . There is no Tool bar no strips.![]()
You have to copy the beta 8 patch in your existing beta 7 luna folder.
Then luna 8 will find all its graphic resources etc...
The graphics didn't change between beta 7 and beta 8, that's why beta 8 is available as a simple patch.
The advantage of a patch (newer version of application file) is that you don't have to redo your luna setup (scan plugs, audio/midi setup)

Just the standard way of resizing the windows:D-Fusion wrote:Hmm. Strange.

Windows: drag the border of the window
Osx: drag the lower right corner of the window
Which platform are you on?
LUNA will change the player (instrument) for the part whenI also have problem with assigning a vst to the midi track that is in there with notes, when i hit the piano roll to the left it plays the sound (But not on playback)
->the parts is selected
->you change the player in the Player Panel (at the top left in the main window)
So i guess you have changed the Player Panel without selecting the part.
If you change the Player Panel from within the Note Editor, then it will always work as the edited part is automatically selected
Alternatively, you can also right-click (osx: control-click) a part and choose "Choose Player"

I did notice that it was very slow when i inserted notes manualy in the piano roll editor (With the mouse), there was a little lag from when i pushed the mousebutton to the note got drawn in the seq.
Here is some more details on my setup:
Windows XP, 1.5GB Ram, Amd 3400+ 64bit, M-audio Audiophile 2496,Ati Radeon 9800 Pro.

That's because luna also checks (waits) for a double-click (= change mouse tool)
If you move the mouse a little bit just after drawing the note, then it goes faster.
Anyway, i'll reconsider the double-click there as i don't want to make any compromise on having a pleasant workflow feel.
Just have to find another quick way to change the mouse tool (besides selecting it from the mouse tool box).
Pressing T also pops up the mouse tool box, maybe that's sufficient as a shortcut?
So the double-click thing can just be dropped..?
What do you think?

No it was not empty folder. But indeed I did a mistake. I renamed the Luna folder from Beta7 to Beta8. that created all confusion.
I deleted all files from 'settings' folder and LUNA configures everything a fresh, everything falls back in place.

Yes the T button would be a good workaround, or maybe middle mouseclick.muzycian wrote:That's because luna also checks (waits) for a double-click (= change mouse tool)

Mmm, luna should "survive" a rename of the folder.SonicBreeze wrote:No it was not empty folder. But indeed I did a mistake. I renamed the Luna folder from Beta7 to Beta8. that created all confusion.![]()

But it indeed doesn't, once you have switched skins.
Will be improved.

The T key does already work.D-Fusion wrote:Yes the T button would be a good workaround, or maybe middle mouseclick.
Middle mouseclick? Mmm, may be a good idea
How many people do have a third mouse button?
almost nobody - 25% - 50% - 75% - almost everyone?

The slowness of inserting a note into the sequence editor is annoying me, so I'd vote for the middle mouseclick thingy.
Also, it seems that when you manually edit, the centre of the "editing pencil" chooses where the note goes rather than the tip. Is there anything that can be done about this, as it makes manually editing a little unpredictable.
Thanks.
