i bought a receptor about a month ago and it FINALLY arrived yesterday! can't wait to dig into it and play. got the colossus bundle, so lots of new sounds to play with.

Congrats. I bought the same bundle back in November and have had LOADS of fun with it.

I strongly suggest you upgrade the memory to 2GB if you haven't already.

There is no Kontakt 1.5 installer, I don't think it's officially supported. You can however, edit Collosus patches on your PC or Mac using Kontakt 1.5 and the move the edited NKI files back to the receptor.

You should check out this thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1524503

Good luck and have fun!

I read about your trombone issue through your link. Along with the worst license agreement in the business, it seems EastWest is not really that inspired to help their customers after a purchase of a fairly expensive piece of software. Ironic that if you were not able to fix it yourself, you would not be able to sell the software (according to their license). Tragic business model.

You may have actually broken the license agreement by posting the repaired sample on your website. Of course, you could always claim that their sample, as sold, was broken and that yours is not, hence it is not the same sample. ;-)

Agree. They gave me some lame answer like "yes, we are aware of this and might issue a fix in the future". :x :x :smack:

#1 - Screw their license agreement
#2 - All I did was change the NKI file (Kompakt / Kontakt "program" data) to adjust the mapping of their "broken" program from the out-of-tune sample to the in-tune sample. So I didn't change or redistribute any actual "samples" just the program data.

And they couldn't figure that out? Wow! Colossus has a list price of $1000. This isn't a cheap piece of software. Solidifies my desire to not purchase their products.
