VUs peak erraticly in the mixindesk!

I made a test sequence to confirm my suspicion (one kick every bar, velocity turned off) and it looks like completely different levels from one hit to the next.

Someone is now saying 'use your ears' (and they're right) but I still think it's kind of confusing when mixing.
