Future plans for CPU upgrades?!?!

Hi,

I've been reading a lot about Receptor and it sounds promising.

Today i'm using the very fast Terratec guitar 2 midi converter unit and the old EMU e5000Ultra sampler to play samples and analog synths sounds while rocking on my guitar. Very cool sounding indeed. But when i produce our music i usualy use Absynth 3 and Pro53 and some other plugins in SX3. So for now i've been obligued to sample all the VSTI plugin sounds onto my sampler to be able to keep the same sound onstage, whish is a time consuming thing todo...

Receptor would really be my timesaver on this but i would like to know if Receptor would be capable of powering Absynth 3, Kontakt 2 (samples taking at least 512 mbytes) and probably 2 more VSTI plugins on the AMD CPU it has??!

And if its a too hard thing to master what are the plans or possibilities on upgrading a allready aging CPU that Receptor has?!

Is the hardware specs similar to a modern PC? and is it something a pro computer technician could do (upgradng the CPU with a newer one)...

Best Regards...
Juan

Hi Juan,

I'm not from Muse Research (just a punter), but this thread has a bit of info in it (found it using the search function):

Other than what's in there, you'll have to wait until the Musers wake up...
