Hi there,

there is a nice & small synth calles "Podolski" in the German "Sound&Recording" mag included.

Now I want to crate a remote template for Podolski with the Access Virus TI (Virus Control VST). Therefor I need the controller #'s controlling Podolski's parameters.

How/where can I get this?

Thnks in advance!

Hi,

the stuff works wirth Midilearn. You right-click (or ctrl-click on a Mac) a knob, then you turn the controller on the virus. Boom, it's assigned, and it should be permanent.

Cheers,

;) Urs

Hi Urs,

thnaks for your answer. But: The remote templates are set up inside the virus control VST. And therefore you have to type the controller numbers there.

So it's a bit different to assining to a "normal" midi controller, I suppose.

Thanks again!

Well, just make your own map then... Start out with 32 to 63, I'd say...

You don't have to change anything on the Virus. It should send different CCs for different knobs already.

So just do as Urs says: Right-click turn a knob, done.

I have to say i am quite a fan of Podolski and Zebralette. Do you plan to bring out these two babies with some more features, or is it mag-ware only? Man, these synths are fun and pretty good sounding.

Well, for Podolski there is the full-fledged Filterscape and for Zebralette it's Zebra2

Check them out at:

Yes and no. They're just magware. No, there's not gonna be any "Pro" version of these, because they already exist:

Podolski with more Features: FilterscapeVA, part of Filterscape bundle

Zebralette with more features (quite an understatement): Zebra V2.0 (Zebralette is basically just one oscillator of Zebra2, but Zebra2 also has filters and other stuff)

Oh. Hans, you beat me to it ;)

And fwiw, there's hardly ever been a better reason to buy a mag than those two. Really, they're unique, efficient, come with absolutely tasty GUIs, and, most of all, the sound is beyond anything you'd ever need to argue about. Even worth the most ridiculous shipping costs to whatever part of this world.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

I was quite amazed that these two babies are one oscillator, right? But they sound pretty cool. Now i have to check out Zebra2. :hyper:

Zebra2 is astounding

There are 4 oscillators, 4FM modules, 2 kickass comb modules, a whole bunch of different filters and then there are the LFO's, envelopes, and the multi-segment envelopes and more. All modular, easy to work with, and then add in the effects and a fine arpeggiator.

Thing is, I am often making patches with just 1 osc and 1 filter and they sound full and rich.

Short of a full on physical model, the flute using the combs is the best I have been able to create. Droning evolving pads? Superb! I just made one preset for a project I am working on. 1 osc, 1 filter, 1 comb, 1 FM... rich, evolving, droning, tambour-like with all sorts of complex overtones, yet still sparse, dissonant resonances, non-repeating. Different strokes for different folks, but one of things I like about Zebra2 is how well I seem to be able to get the sound I am looking for when I start building a preset. I think it is partly the diversity of sounds possible and then combined with the modular nature and clear GUI.

I had been looking for an all around synth to compliment the physical modeled stuff from AAS. Since I purchased Zebra2, I am set. It is just that versatile.

Hmm...i checked Zebra2 and i was really amazed. I think my virus is hiding now somewhere under the desk

Hmm...i just discovered that Dinosaur crossgrade. Well i have a BIG dinosaur, it is a Farfisa organ :hihi: Ugly and heavy as hell, some keys dont work. But it makes sound!

Dont know if it is enough for qualifying.

Sorry for insisting:

1. It's about the Virus TI Remote Templates
2. To setup a Remote Template for Podolski, you have to setup this in the Virus Control-VST
3. Here you have to assign the control Knobs to dedicated Controler#s by Typing a kind of a (simple) code containing that specific controler #. Exaple: I want to assign the Filter Cutoff Knob to the Filter of the Podolski. I need to know the cotroler# of the Cutoff parameter of Podolski. I don't have it.
4. Can you give me a table/chart with the Podolski parameter assignment to the controler#s?

Thanks very much again!

Best regards,
Clic
